Finally did it.

After holding out for years, I finally sold my last sealed box of Magic cards.

When I left the company, I had one sealed box of every Magic expansion made while I was there, so I had everything from Arabian Nights to Urza's Whatever-the-heck-it-was. About two years ago (in order to finance my continuing joblessness), I sold the bulk of it for about $7,000. Which wasn't too shabby.

At that time, the nice card dealers offered me $5500 for my box of Arabian Nights, but they didn't have that much "open to buy", and I wasn't in a hurry to sell it. This week, giving in to financial necessity again, I made a deal to sell them that box for $7700. Not bad "interest". . .

It feels like a symbolic "house-cleaning", to finally let go of that last remnant. Hopefully, it will spur me to "get on with things".
